Victoria Azarenka has claimed that she must not allow Caroline Wozniacki's style to have an impact on her approach when the two meet in the second round of the Australian Open.
A 2014 wrecked by injury prevented Azarenka from being seeded for the first Grand Slam of the year, but she is optimistic of producing her best tennis against the eighth seed.
"Being an unseeded player, it's not a surprise that I have a tough draw or tough opponents in the early round," the 24-year-old, who triumphed in Melbourne in 2012 and 2013, told reporters. "I just need to go through that. I accept the challenges.
"She was showing some great tennis in the end of last year. I know she's very dangerous. We always had some tough matches. I would like to focus on myself and what I can do to build my game, to prepare as best as I can, and just compete.
"That's my key word for this tournament - compete."
Azarenka recorded a straight-sets victory over Sloane Stephens in the first round.
