The world's number one doubles pairing Bob and Mike Bryan spurned the opportunity to win a record 12th Grand Slam at the Australian Open this afternoon.
The 33-year-old twin brothers were defeated 7-6(1) 6-2 in the final in Melbourne by Leander Paes and Radek Stepanek.
It was only the fourth competition that the Indian and Czech duo had competed together.
Their victory has brought an end to the Bryans' four successive title wins at the Australian Open.
