Agnieszka Radwanska slams French Open chiefs

Agnieszka Radwanska slams the decision to finish her fourth-round match against Tsvetana Pironkova at the French Open in rainy conditions.

Agnieszka Radwanska has launched a scathing attack on the French Open following her fourth-round exit at the hands of Tsvetana Pironkova today.

The second seed was a set and 3-0 up when play was stopped due to rain on Sunday, and after a washout on Monday they were forced to complete the match today despite more rain arriving at Roland Garros.

Radwanska lost 10 games in succession upon the resumption and went on to go down 2-6 6-3 6-3, but she claims that the conditions meant that she couldn't play her usual game.

"I had surgery a few years ago and I couldn't really play in those conditions, end of story," she told reporters.

"I'm just so surprised and angry that we have to play in the rain. I mean, it's not a 10,000 tournament (the lowest level of professional tennis). It's a Grand Slam. How can you allow players to play in the rain? I cannot play in those conditions.

"I don't know who allows us to play in these kind of conditions. I don't think they really care what we think. I think they care about other things, I guess."

Radwanska has never made it past the quarter-finals at the French Open.
