Great Britain's Fed Cup coach Judy Murray has paid tribute to Elena Baltacha following her death from liver cancer at the age of 30.
The former British women's number one passed away in the early hours of Sunday morning after being diagnosed with the illness six months earlier.
Murray, who had known Baltacha on and off court for a number of years, described her as "one in a million".
"I don't have the words to say what an incredible person Bally was, how loved she was or what an inspiration she will continue to be to everyone who met her," Murray said in an official statement.
"This is an awful loss for tennis, for all of us who knew and loved her but most of all for Nino and her family. My thoughts are, of course, with them. She was one in a million. An absolute gem."
Players at the Madrid Open gathered on court on Monday evening to pay their respects to Baltacha.
