World number eight Juan Martin del Potro advanced through to round two of the Swiss Open at the expense of Alejandro Falla this afternoon.
The Argentine required just one break of Falla's serve during the opening set to win through 6-4.
The second set proved to be more straightforward for Del Potro, who broke his Colombian opponent on two occasions to open up a 5-1 advantage.
He achieved a third break in the seventh game of the set to secure his place in the next round.
Del Potro will now take on the USA's Brian Baker for a place in round three.
