Top seed Novak Djokovic has made it through to the third round of the Mutua Madrid Open with a straight-sets victory over Borna Coric.
Djokovic was never troubled on serve in the opener and broke Croatian teenager Coric twice on his way to a 6-2 success.
The second set was much tighter, but Coric could not hold his nerve when Djokovic moved within a game of the match as the Serb broke to claim victory 6-2 6-4 in an hour and 20 minutes.
Djokovic, who won in Madrid in 2011 but has missed the tournament the last two years, will face Spain's Roberto Bautista-Agut in the last 16.
