British number one Andy Murray has safely secured a place in the quarter-finals of the China Open as he aims to win his second title in Asia this season.
The Scotsman, who won the Shenzhen Open last week, earned a 6-2 6-2 victory over Pablo Cuevas in Beijing.
Murray started off strongly by snatching a double break of serve in the first set, leaving the Uruguayan with plenty of catching up to do in the early stages.
Cuevas came close to securing his first break of the match, but he relinquished two points as Murray held on to clinch the set point.
Once again, Murray was able to break his opponent's serve in his opening game of the second set, before securing yet another on his third break point of Cuevas's next service game.
After racing to a 4-0 lead, Murray lost his serve for the first time in the match, giving Cuevas some hope of getting himself back into the contest.
However, Murray dashed the Uruguayan's hopes by battling to another break before successfully serving for the match.
