As four-time winners, Ghana are tipped to go far in this year's Africa Cup of Nations. Sports Mole considers the Black Stars' chances.

As four-time winners and with a wealth of European experience in their squad, Ghana are sure to be amongst the favourites to lift this year's Africa Cup of Nations trophy.

However, the Black Stars will be looking to put an end to the 30-year wait since their last triumph.

Goran Stevanovic's side come into the competition having topped qualification Group I.

Group: D

Players to watch out for:

Asamoah Gyan
The Sunderland striker proved to be one of the Premier League's hottest talents before an unexpected loan move to Al-Ain in the UAE. Despite the switch, Gyan's instinctive pace and striking ability are still a match for most defences.

Sulley Muntari
The 27-year-old embodies all the attributes of a top African midfielder. Strong, great passing and a handy eye for goal makes the Inter Milan man one of the most effective players at the tournament.

Previous best: Winners 1963, 1965, 1978, 1982

Odds to win outright: 9/2

Sports Mole says: Quarter-finals
