Cristiano Ronaldo is reportedly set to cut ties with his agent Jorge Mendes following his move to Al-Nassr.
Before recently signing for the Saudi Arabian club, Ronaldo had been on the lookout for a new side since Manchester United terminated his contract in November following an explosive interview with Piers Morgan on TalkTV.
During a press conference to unveil him as an Al-Nassr player on Tuesday, Ronaldo claimed that he had received offers from Europe, Brazil, Australia, USA and Portugal, but he had given his word to the Saudi Arabian club.
Although Ronaldo has signed a lucrative deal, according to The Mirror, he is set to split from his long-time agent of 20 years.
Following an increase in tensions between the pair, Mendes's involvement in Ronaldo's decision-making has diminished in recent times, and the super-agent is not expected to be financially rewarded for the move to Saudi Arabia.
Ricardo Regufe, who has previously been part of Ronaldo's entourage, was believed to be the individual who played a significant role in the deal with Al-Nassr, and he is set to receive £26m in commission as a result.
While Ronaldo is expected to split from Mendes's Gestifute agency, the Portugal international could make his Al-Nassr debut against Al-Ta'ee on Thursday.
