Lionel Messi, Sergio Aguero back in Argentina squad

Argentina boss Gerardo Martino recalls Lionel Messi and Sergio Aguero into his squad for this month's 2018 World Cup qualifiers, but there is no room for Carlos Tevez.

Barcelona's Lionel Messi and Manchester City's Sergio Aguero have both returned to the Argentina squad for their 2018 World Cup qualifiers against Chile and Bolivia later this month.

The pair both missed the fixtures against Brazil and Colombia last November through injury, but head coach Gerardo Martino has unsurprisingly recalled the attacking duo to his latest selection.

There is no place in the squad for Boca Juniors striker Carlos Tevez, but Atletico Madrid's Angel Correa and Juventus's Paulo Dybala both make the cut.

Three Manchester City defenders - Nicolas Otamendi, Pablo Zabaleta and Martin Demichelis - are also included, in addition to Manchester United pair Sergio Romero and Marcos Rojo.

Full squad:

Goalkeepers: Sergio Romero (Manchester United), Nahuel Guzman (Tigres UANL), Geronimo Rulli (Real Sociedad)

Defenders: Pablo Zabaleta (Manchester City), Facundo Roncaglia (Fiorentina), Gabriel Mercado (River Plate), Nicolas Otamendi (Manchester City), Mateo Musacchio (Villarreal), Ramiro Funes Mori (Everton), Marcos Rojo (Manchester United), Leonel Vangioni (River Plate), Javier Pinola (Rosario Central), Martin Demichelis (Manchester City)

Midfielders: Javier Mascherano (Barcelona), Matias Kranevitter, Augusto Fernandez (Atletico Madrid), Enzo Perez (Valencia), Lucas Biglia (Lazio), Javier Pastore (Paris Saint-Germain), Ever Banega (Sevilla), Angel Di Maria (Paris Saint-Germain), Erik Lamela (Tottenham), Nicolas Gaitan (Benfica)

Forwards: Ezequiel Lavezzi (Hebei China Fortune), Lionel Messi (Barcelona), Sergio Aguero (Manchester City), Gonzalo Higuain (Napoli), Paulo Dybala (Juventus), Angel Correa (Ateltico Madrid)
