The summer transfer window has now begun, with rumours and speculation continuing to swirl as Arsenal eye possible reinforcements.
The Gunners spent more than many expected last summer - most notably their club-record purchase of Nicolas Pepe - but were more reserved in January as they focused on bolstering their defensive options.
Here, Sports Mole rounds up the latest news on possible comings and goings at the Emirates Stadium.
Sunday morning's Arsenal transfer talk news roundup:
Newcastle United 'unwilling to meet Ainsley Maitland-Niles asking price'
Newcastle United are reportedly not prepared to meet Arsenal's £25m asking price for Ainsley Maitland-Niles.
The 23-year-old's future remains the subject of much speculation, and Arsenal have already allegedly rejected an offer in the region of £15m from Wolverhampton Wanderers for the Englishman.
According to The Telegraph, Newcastle are also interested in Maitland-Niles, who made 33 appearances for the Gunners during the 2019-20 campaign.
However, the report claims that the Magpies have been put off by Arsenal's £25m valuation of the versatile performer, who is capable of playing in both defence and midfield.
Tottenham Hotspur have also previously been credited with an interest in the former England Under-21 international.
Maitland-Niles still has three years left to run on his contract at the Emirates Stadium.
Newcastle United to beat Leeds United to Rob Holding deal?
Newcastle United are reportedly at the head of the queue for Arsenal centre-back Rob Holding.
The 24-year-old started and finished Saturday's Community Shield against Liverpool, but he is expected to be on the move before the end of the summer transfer window.
Gabriel Magalhaes's impending arrival will push Holding down the pecking order, while William Saliba has further boosted Mikel Arteta's options in a defensive position.
Leeds United have been strongly linked with Holding in recent days, but according to The Mirror, Newcastle are leading the race for the former England Under-21 international.
The report claims that the Magpies are expected to take the central defender on loan for the 2020-21 campaign.
Holding has made 79 appearances for the Gunners since arriving from Bolton Wanderers in 2016, although he only featured on 18 occasions in all competitions last term.
