Bayern Munich manager Pep Guardiola has admitted that his side were not as perfect as they needed to be to secure a positive result against Arsenal on Tuesday.
The German champions saw their 12-match winning run ended with a 2-0 defeat in an end-to-end game at the Emirates after late goals from Olivier Giroud and Mesut Ozil secured a first European victory of the season for the home side.
Despite the defeat, Guardiola insisted that he was happy with how his side performed, and he congratulated Arsene Wenger's side on their victory.
"It was a good game," he told reporters. "We did not want to let them the ball, tried to dominate, had enough chances to win this match. But congratulations to Arsenal for the win and we will meet again in Europe.
"In the Champions League you need to be perfect in every aspect. There were some areas in which we were not today."
The result tightens up Group F, leaving Bayern joint top alongside Olympiacos on six points with Arsenal level with Dinamo Zagreb on three.
