Bayern Munich's Daniel van Buyten warns against underestimating Arsenal

Daniel van Buyten warns his Bayern Munich teammates against taking Arsenal lightly in their Champions League last 16 tie.

Bayern Munich defender Daniel van Buyten believes that Arsenal will not be pushovers in their Champions League last-16 tie.

The Gunners will host the German giants at the Emirates Stadium in the first leg on February 19 and will travel to the Allianz Arena for the second leg on March 13.

"We are aware of the fact that we have now reached the stage where every opponent poses a stern test, regardless of what the so-called experts and statistics say," Van Buyten told Bild.

"If we go into the tie thinking that it will be easy for us, it is going to be extremely tough."

Bayern lost to Chelsea on penalties in the Champions League final last season.
