Arsenal team news: Injury, suspension list vs. Luton Town

Sports Mole rounds up all of Arsenal's latest injury and suspension news ahead of Tuesday's Premier League clash with Luton Town.

Arsenal will go in search of a fourth successive Premier League victory when they take on Luton Town at Kenilworth Road on Tuesday evening.

Mikel Arteta's men extended their lead at the summit of the table with a 2-1 beating of Wolverhampton Wanderers on Saturday, where Bukayo Saka and Martin Odegaard rendered a Matheus Cunha response inconsequential.

The Gunners opened up a four-point advantage at the top with that victory, although their lead may be cut down ahead of the midweek clash depending on results on Sunday.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up Arsenal's injury and suspension news ahead of their meeting with Luton, who fell to a 3-1 defeat to Brentford over the weekend.

Takehiro Tomiyasu

Status: Minor doubt
Type of injury: Unspecified
Possible return date: December 5 (vs. Luton)

The in-form Takehiro Tomiyasu was forced off in the second half of Arsenal's success over Wolves with an unspecified issue, which Arteta could not shed any light on after the game, and the Japanese right-back has emerged as a doubt for Tuesday's game.

Jurrien Timber

Status: Out
Type of injury: Knee
Possible return date: Unknown

Fellow full-back Jurrien Timber was spotted at the Emirates on Saturday as he battles back from a knee injury, but the Dutchman is facing a race against time to return before the end of the campaign.

Emile Smith Rowe

Status: Out
Type of injury: Knee
Possible return date: December 28 (vs. West Ham United)

Emile Smith Rowe is making steady progress in his recovery from a less severe knee problem, but it would be a surprise to see the Englishman involved in first-team action before the end of the calendar year.

Thomas Partey

Status: Out
Type of injury: Thigh
Possible return date: December 28 (vs. West Ham United)

Similarly, Thomas Partey - whom Arsenal are supposedly thinking about selling in January - is also facing another few weeks on the sidelines with the thigh problem he recently underwent surgery on.

Fabio Vieira

Status: Out
Type of injury: Groin
Possible return date: Unknown

Fabio Vieira has also gone under the knife to correct a groin injury, leading Arteta to admit that the Portuguese playmaker would be out for "weeks" in a recent press conference.

ARSENAL'S SUSPENSION LIST

Vieira is technically set to serve the third of a three-game suspension here, having been sent off against Burnley, but Arsenal have no non-injured players banned for Tuesday's game.
