Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger praises the performances of new signing Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Henrikh Mkhitaryan during his side's 5-1 win over Everton.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has praised the contribution of January signings Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Henrikh Mkhitaryan during the team's 5-1 win over Everton at the Emirates Stadium this evening.

Aaron Ramsey stole the headlines with his first career hat-trick as the Gunners ran riot in North London, but Aubameyang also netted on his debut and Mkhitaryan provided three assists on his first start for the club.

The win also saw Arsenal return to winning ways following their loss to Swansea City on Tuesday night, and Wenger was left very satisfied with their performance.

"We had more penetration, a quicker and sharper game, we had a different focus to Tuesday [The defeat to Swansea]," he told BBC Sport.

"It was a repetition of the Crystal Palace game, when we were 4-0 up after 20 minutes. I believe the speed of our game was very good, good finishing as well.

"It is very early, but they look to have the quality to integrate into the game we want to play. They are quick, have sharp movement and agile and want the ball. It is very good and positive signs."

Arsenal's next match sees them face Tottenham Hotspur in the North London derby.
