Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has hailed his side's "defensive stability" in the opening months of the 2013-14 season.
Olivier Giroud scored a brace as Arsenal beat Southampton 2-0 in the Premier League yesterday and extended their lead at the top of the table to four points.
Furthermore, the Gunners have conceded just 10 goals in 12 league games this season - a statistic which has pleased Wenger.
"We have improved our defensive stability," Wenger told the club's official website. "After an international break you have always two challenges.
"One is to get the team to focus again as a team because we have been spread all over the world, and you have very little time to get the focus point right.
"The second is physical, because they all come back in different levels of fatigue, some have not trained a lot. The first point we got right, the team were highly focused. We suffered a bit physically, but overall the concentration was there."
Arsenal's next fixture sees them host Marseille in the Champions League on Tuesday.
