Arsenal are reportedly not prepared to sell Switzerland international Granit Xhaka.
The midfielder was believed to be close to completing a move to Roma in the summer of 2021 when his relationship with the Arsenal supporters appeared to be strained after the player reacted to fan jeers against Crystal Palace in 2019.
However, Xhaka has become a key figure for Arsenal since the appointment of Mikel Arteta, and he has helped the club climb to the top of the league table this season, starting in all 11 of Arsenal's Premier League games.
Despite previously being linked with a move away from the club, according to Calcio Mercato, Arsenal are not willing to allow Xhaka to leave in the near future.
Juventus were also rumoured to be interested in signing Xhaka in 2021, while Jose Mourinho enquired about the possibility of bringing Xhaka to Roma in the recent summer transfer window, but the Gunners rejected the approach.
Xhaka, who has a 12-month option on his contract which runs until June 2024, has made 266 appearances for the Gunners, registering 18 goals and 25 assists.
