Arsenal want Simon Mignolet to be their number one keeper next season but will have to pay Sunderland £10m for his services, according to a report.

Arsenal are reportedly favourites to land Sunderland keeper Simon Mignolet in a £10m move this summer.

Arsene Wenger wants to make the Belgium international his number one keeper at the Gunners after a series of impressive performances for the Black Cats last season.

Mignolet is likely to be tempted away from the Stadium of Light by the chance to play Champions League football next season to boost his chances of securing the keeping spot in Belgium's team ahead of the World Cup next year.

However, the Gunners will have to stump up at least £10m to wrestle the 24-year-old from Paolo Di Canio's side, report The Mirror.

Mignolet played in all 38 Premier League games for Sunderland last season.
