When a player has scored over 100 goals in English football, you would think that he has managed to register a strike against a certain club when having 11 opportunities to do so.
However, that is not the case when it comes to Danny Ings facing West Ham United. Despite first facing the Hammers all the way back in 2012, the forward has never found the back of the net.
Nine of those appearances have been made in the Premier League, Ings playing at least 84 minutes in five of those encounters, with a further two outings coming in the Championship and EFL Cup.
Ahead of representing Aston Villa in Sunday's top-flight fixture against West Ham, Ings is looking to end two long-standing records versus the East Londoners.
The 29-year-old has faced West Ham in the Premier League more often without ever scoring than he has any other opponent.
Indeed, he has also ended on the losing side in eight of his nine appearances against the Hammers in the top flight, drawing the other.
Ings was also not on the winning team in the Championship and EFL Cup contests, making West Ham his bogey team by a considerable distance.
As far as this campaign is concerned, meanwhile, Ings has only scored once in his most recent seven outings for Villa.
