Republic of Ireland international Richard Dunne has reportedly emerged as a transfer target of relegated Queens Park Rangers.
The 33-year-old defender was recently informed by Aston Villa manager Paul Lambert that he would not be part of his plans next season and as a result was made a free agent.
However, despite the fact that an Achilles injury has prevented him from playing for either club or country since Euro 2012, QPR boss Redknapp is hoping that he can tempt Dunne to sign on at Loftus Road, according to The Mirror.
It was reported four years ago that Redknapp tried to recruit Dunne when he was in charge of Tottenham, but the centre-back opted for Villa instead.
