Diego Simeone is pleased with Atletico Madrid's 1-0 win at Granada and praises Koke and Arda Turan for their performance.

Atletico Madrid coach Diego Simeone has said that he is pleased with his side's win against Granada in La Liga on Sunday.

Arda Turan scored a late goal to help last season's Europa League winners bag a 1-0 victory away from home.

"We knew what was going to happen in the first half," said Simeone. "But we could not control them.

"Granada played a great first 45 [minutes], with aggression, intensity and chances.

"In the second half we understood what we had to do. Koke and Arda Turan were the players of real quality, and they got us out of trouble."

Atletico are now second in La Liga with 31 points from 12 matches, three points behind leaders Barcelona.
