Fernando Torres to move to Japan?

Fernando Torres is seemingly close to securing a move to Sagan Tosu after the J1 League's official website accidentally published an article regarding a transfer.

Sagan Tosu have seemingly secured a deal for Fernando Torres after the J1 League's official website accidentally published an article regarding a transfer.

Torres is leaving Atletico Madrid this summer due to the end of his contract, and the forward has been linked with a wide range of clubs who are willing to sign the Spaniard on a free.

However, it appears that the 34-year-old could be on his way to Japan after an article suggested that the attacker was linking up with the struggling top-flight side.

The article has since been taken down but according to Marca, former Liverpool and Chelsea striker Torres has been offered a contract worth £3.5m per year.

Sagan Tosu currently sit second from bottom in the standings with 19 matches remaining.
