Barcelona condemned BATE Borisov to a 5-0 thrashing in their Champions League group stage match in Belarus this evening.
The visitors took the lead on 19 minutes when Aleksandr Valadzko turned the ball into his own net before a tidy finish from Pedro doubled their lead three minutes later.
It was 3-0 at the break after Lionel Messi capitalised on BATE keeper Aleksandr Gutor's spilled catch to head in.
Messi scored his second goal of the evening on 55 minutes when he smashed home from inside the area after exchanging passes with Dani Alves.
David Villa wrapped up the scoring on 90 minutes when he calmly slotted into the hosts' net.
The win has kept Barca in second place in Group H, while BATE occupy third.
