Adriano injury 'not serious'

Barcelona claim that the hamstring injury suffered by Adriano in Tuesday's 3-0 win over Celta Vigo is 'not serious'.

Barcelona have revealed that the injury suffered by Adriano in Tuesday's 3-0 win over Celta Vigo is 'not serious'.

The Brazilian was forced off in the second period of the clash in Vigo with a hamstring strain, but initial results failed to reveal the extent of the damage.

However, the Catalan outfit have now confirmed that the defender has not suffered any lasting damage, but will miss Friday's clash with Espanyol.

His recovery period has been classed as 'unclear' which leaves Barcelona with a problem at left-back, with Jordi Alba still on the sidelines.
