Barcelona boss Gerardo Martino has revealed that Carlos Puyol 'hopes to feature' in the club's last game of the season against Atletico Madrid later this month.
The centre-back, who announced that he will depart the Camp Nou this summer earlier this year, has hardly featured this season due to a long-standing knee injury.
"We've spoken with him and he really wants to play in the last game. He has the opportunity of saying goodbye to the fans," Inside Spanish Football quotes Martino as saying.
"We'll see if he can be medically cleared and the injury allows it. It is something that we have in mind."
Atletico could have secured the La Liga title by the time they travel to Barcelona.
