Ernesto Valverde to consider Barcelona exit?

Ernesto Valverde is allegedly considering an exit from Barcelona at the end of the season, despite the likelihood of completing the double at Camp Nou.

Ernesto Valverde has reportedly started to consider his position at Barcelona, despite the club being on the brink of completing the domestic double.

Barcelona have gone 33 games without suffering defeat in La Liga and are just one win away from sealing the league title, while the Catalan giants thrashed Sevilla to claim the Copa del Rey on Saturday night.

However, the club's Champions League exit to Roma at the quarter-final stage has led to questions being raised over Valverde's future and it appears that the 54-year-old has started to consider his own position.

According to AS, Valverde has thrown open the possibility of leaving Barca at the end of the season due to reports suggesting that he would have been sacked in the event of missing out on the Copa del Rey at the weekend.

Valverde allegedly has the support of the dressing room but as it stands, it remains uncertain over whether there will be a change in the dugout ahead of the next campaign.

Chelsea head coach Antonio Conte is said to have been 'sounded out' over a possible switch to Barcelona.
