Barcelona are reportedly lining up a fresh approach for Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Angel Di Maria during the January transfer window.
The Spanish giants were understood to be considering a move for the Argentine playmaker during the summer after missing out on Philippe Coutinho, who stayed at Liverpool despite handing in a transfer request.
Coutinho is still on Barcelona's radar, but Diario Sport claims that the La Liga leaders could turn their main focus to Di Maria next month, with Liverpool unlikely to sell Coutinho before the summer.
Di Maria, who previously played for Barca's arch-rivals Real Madrid, has struggled to hold down a regular place in the PSG team so far this season, starting just 10 Ligue 1 games.
The Ligue 1 leaders are understood to be looking at options to meet UEFA's Financial Fair Play rules, and so would be open to selling Di Maria should any club meet their valuation.
Barcelona are reportedly willing to offer €45m (£40m) up front, with an additional €15m (£13.3m) in add-ons and bonuses.
Di Maria joined PSG in 2015 and has since scored 18 goals in 71 Ligue 1 appearances.
