Report: Barcelona agree Kevin Gameiro deal

Barcelona reach an agreement with Sevilla for the transfer of France forward Kevin Gameiro, according to a report from Spain.

Barcelona are reportedly on the verge of announcing the signing of Kevin Gameiro from Sevilla.

The Catalan outfit have been actively pursuing a new forward this summer and it had been thought that Atletico Madrid's Luciano Vietto would be the player to arrive at Camp Nou.

However, according to Sport, Barcelona have reached an agreement with Sevilla over the transfer of Gameiro, who will act as first back-up to Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez and Neymar in the final third of the field.

The 29-year-old has scored 67 times in 140 appearances for Sevilla, including seven in 13 Europa League matches last term as the Andalusian club won the European trophy for a third straight season.

Atletico and Real Madrid have previously been linked with a move for the Frenchman, who netted 29 times in all competitions for Sevilla last term.
