Barnet coach Edgar Davids has said that he would "steal" Antonio Conte's job as manager of Juventus.
The Dutch international, who spent time in Italy as a player with Juventus, AC Milan and Inter Milan, believes that he has what it takes to succeed as a coach in Serie A.
"Conte is good, but I'd steal his place [on the bench]," the 39-year-old told Tuttosport. "If Juve called, I'd say yes – but it's a lot easier at a big club [than at a smaller one].
"Look at Frank Rijkaard. At Sparta Rotterdam he was disastrous, and then went to Barca and won everything. Conte was the same. What did he do at Atalanta? Now he is working fine.
"I am enjoying my time as [Barnet] coach, but I think I could do it in Serie A. All my previous bosses – Van Gaal, Lippi – have taught me something."
Davids accepted the job as coach of League Two Barnet in October.
