Cristian Molinaro backs Juventus against Bayern Munich

Cristian Molinaro says that Bayern Munich will struggle defensively against Juventus in their Champions League quarter-final tie.

Stuttgart defender Cristian Molinaro has backed his former club Juventus to defeat Bayern Munich and progress to the Champions League semi-finals.

The left-back claims that the German club's vulnerability in defence gives the edge to the Italian champions in their quarter-final tie.

"Bayern always try to play their own game, but they are not exceptional in defence, in particular at centre-back," Molinaro told Calcionews24.com.

"Dante is having a great season, but the problem is who will play alongside him. At the moment Jupp Heynckes opts for Daniel van Buyten, and that's Bayern's most vulnerable spot.

"He is not a fast player and he could suffer against [Mirko] Vucinic and [Sebastian] Giovinco."

Molinaro was on the books of Juventus for five years from 2005 until 2010.
