Jerome Boateng has urged Bayern Munich coach Pep Guardiola to snub reported interest from the Premier League and stay at the Allianz Arena.
Speculation is rife that the Spaniard will leave the Bavarians in the summer when his contract expires, with Manchester City and Manchester United reportedly vying for his signature.
Asked by TZ if Bayern's playing staff want Guardiola - who has delivered two Bundesliga titles and a DFB-Pokal, having only joined in the summer of 2013 - to stay, the defender said: "Definitely.
"I think that's what everyone on our team wants. This we have made clear."
It was reported on Wednesday that Bayern would offer Guardiola a £17m-a-year salary in order to stave off interest from England's elite.
