Nouha Dicko scores a late winner for Blackpool in an enthralling contest against Hull City at the KC Stadium.

Nouha Dicko came off the bench to earn Blackpool a 3-2 victory at the KC Stadium against Hull City on Tuesday evening.

Blackpool were rewarded for a bright start as they took the lead inside 11 minutes when Matt Phillips was picked out by Nathan Delfouneso and the winger fired his shot past a helpless Ben Amos.

Delfouneso was then handed the chance to get his own name on the scoresheet but the striker failed to beat Amos after finding space inside the box.

Sone Aluko was denied a penalty after appearing to be pushed inside the box from a corner but the wide midfielder responded superbly by driving a 25-yard effort past Matthew Gilks to level the scores before half-time.

It was Aluko who turned provider in the early stages of the second period, with his cross allowing Stephen Quinn to finish from close range to give Steve Bruce's side the lead.

Abdoulaye Faye should have extended the home side's lead moments later but he failed to hit the target with a free header from 12 yards out.

Hull's inability to take their chances was punished with 20 minutes remaining when Kevin Phillips reacted to a Gary Taylor-Fletcher knock down to tap in from close range.

Blackpool's comeback was complete seven minutes from time when Phillips combined with fellow substitute Dicko to allow the midfielder to snatch the victory late on.
