Owen Coyle believes that Bolton should have been 4-0 up by the time Watford scored their goal.

Bolton Wanderers manager Owen Coyle has insisted that his side should have beaten Watford by more than the eventual 2-1 scoreline.

Watford scored their goal somewhat fortuitously, leaving a nervy final 30 minutes for the hosts. Coyle, however, said that Bolton could have been 4-0 up by that point.

"That was never a game of two halves," Eurosport quotes Coyle as saying. "It should have been three, four nil. In the second half we sat a bit deep and they scored a flukey goal.

"[However] because it was so one-sided in the first half, Watford were always going to come back stronger in the second."

Bolton are currently 10th in the Championship with seven points from 15.
