Kris Commons misses out for Celtic

Celtic manager Neil Lennon confirms that Kris Commons will miss Tuesday's Champions League clash against Ajax with a hamstring strain.

Celtic boss Neil Lennon has confirmed that Kris Commons will miss Tuesday's Champions League clash against Ajax through injury.

The Scottish international forward has recently been struggling with a hamstring strain.

However, Commons is likely to return for Sunday's trip to Partick Thistle in the Scottish Premiership.

"We are hoping it's not as bad as a tear but he will be out for tomorrow," Lennon told reporters.

Celtic go into the match at Parkhead at the bottom of Group H after suffering two defeats from their opening two fixtures.
