Chelsea defender Trevoh Chalobah has questioned why Liverpool midfielder Naby Keita was not sent off for a mistimed challenge during the EFL Cup final.
During the second half of Sunday's showpiece at Wembley Stadium, Keita's studs made contact with Chalobah's groin, leaving the Blues player requiring several minutes of treatment.
Keita did not receive a yellow card, nor did the referee request that VAR take a closer look of the incident.
Despite completing the full 120 minutes and scoring a penalty during the shootout, which Liverpool won, Chalobah revealed after that game that he had required stitches for the injury.
Had to get stitches because of this. Referee is right there I don't get it?? 🤦🏾♂️ https://t.co/8kXIgpS4wO

Chalobah went into the match with only eight minutes of game time since starting the 2-2 draw in the Premier League against the same opponents on January 2.
