Leicester City have been crowned Premier League champions after Chelsea fight back from two goals down to earn a 2-2 draw with Tottenham Hotspur.

It appeared that Spurs were going to extend the title race until at least the weekend after goals from Harry Kane and Son Heung-min gave the North London outfit a sizeable lead.

However, Gary Cahill halved the deficit with just over 30 minutes left before Eden Hazard found the top corner in the closing stages to see the Foxes complete the greatest fairytale in the history of English football.

Read below to see how the action unfolded at Stamford Bridge.

Hello, and welcome to Sports Mole's live coverage of the London derby between Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur.

At the start of the season, this fixture would have been seen as an occasion where Chelsea could secure an important result in order to boost their hopes of reclaiming the Premier League title. However, it soon became evident that the Blues would flatter to deceive this campaign and it's Spurs who require points to maintain their hopes of lifting the league trophy in the middle of this month.

Spurs' job is pretty simple: they must win at Stamford Bridge if they are to prevent Leicester City from winning the Premier League title. They then must prevail from their other two remaining games and hope Leicester drop points against Everton and Chelsea. They are huge outsiders but stranger things have happened. All focus must be placed on this match, however, or else they run the risk of Chelsea capitalising on any lack of concentration.

Anyway, without further ado, let's get around to taking a look at the two starting lineups that have been selected by Guus Hiddink and Mauricio Pochettino.

CHELSEA XI: Begovic; Ivanovic, Cahill, Terry, Azpilicueta; Mikel, Matic; Willian, Fabregas, Pedro; Costa

CHELSEA SUBSTITUTES: Amelia, Rahman, Loftus-Cheek, Kenedy, Oscar, Hazard, Traore

TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR XI: Lloris; Walker, Alderweireld, Vertonghen, Rose; Dier, Dembele; Lamela, Eriksen, Son; Kane

TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR SUBSTITUTES: Vorm, Davies, Wimmer, Carroll, Chadli, Mason, Clinton

As expected, John Terry returns to the Chelsea side after a spell out with injury but there is a surprise as Eden Hazard drops to the bench, despite scoring twice at Bournemouth last weekend. Gary Cahill also returns with John Obi Mikel starting in his usual position of central midfield. Baba Rahman has been left out with Cesar Azpilicueta reverting to left-back.

Pochettino's team required less tinkering and the only change to the team that drew with West Bromwich Albion is Son Heung-min replacing the suspended Dele Alli. Attacker Clinton Njie earns a return to the bench after a spell out with injury.

RESULT! If you haven't heard the news, Burnley have earned promotion to the Premier League today with a 1-0 victory over Queens Park Rangers. Sean Dyche's men were poor during the opening three games of the season but they have not suffered defeat since Boxing Day and are fully deserving of an instant return to the top flight. You can catch up with our report of the game at Turf Moor by clicking here.

HEAD TO HEAD! Tonight's game represents the 155th time that these two teams have met in a competitive match, with Chelsea prevailing 65 times compared to 50 victories for Spurs. The honours are even over the last three fixtures but Chelsea have dominated this fixture over the past 25 years with the Blues suffering just seven defeats in all competitions.

If those statistics don't fulfil Spurs supporters with any optimism, neither will this one. The North London giants have not won a league game at Stamford Bridge since the Premier League was founded! Their last success came in February 1990. Chelsea have been poor on their own turf this campaign but there's a feeling that Spurs are really up against it this evening.

REVERSE FIXTURE! The reverse fixture at the end of November ended in a goalless draw. At the time, Spurs missed out on the chance to put pressure on the top four while the result represented the last point that Jose Mourinho recorded during his second stint in West London. How times have changed...

The Chelsea social media team have posted a graphic showing their club's last 10 league results against Spurs at Stamford Bridge. The visitors have only scored five goals during that time...

FORM! Spurs head into this all-important fixture as the form team in the division having collected 14 points from their last six games. Chelsea, on the other hand, have registered eight points, leaving them behind Swansea City and level with Newcastle United. You can take a look at the full form table by clicking here.

Chelsea have been without their skipper John Terry for over six weeks so it will be interesting to see what kind of shape he is in as he prepares to go toe-to-toe with Harry Kane, who has been scoring goals for fun. It's an important game for the veteran defender who may only have two games remaining at Stamford Bridge if the club allow him to leave on a free transfer in the summer. The large majority of Chelsea fans will want their leader to remain in West London but it may require a commanding performance against a player of Kane's quality to convince the Blues hierarchy or Antonio Conte to reopen negotiations.

As for Spurs, all eyes will be on how they cope without the services of Dele Alli. They still carry plenty of threat going forward but the 20-year-old has been a breath of fresh air since his arrival from MK Dons and losing someone through suspension who has contributed 10 goals and numerous assists is an almighty blow. Son Heung-min has had his moments this season but this is just his 11th start in the league and it's perhaps asking a lot for him to fill Alli's boots.

PREDICTION! Spurs have the form and momentum heading into this match but they showed weaknesses in their draw with West Brom last Monday and facing with the proposition of a Chelsea side free of responsibility and pressure, we feel the Premier League trophy will be on its way to the King Power Stadium come 10pm this evening. Chelsea to prevail 2-1 thanks to a late winner.

Spurs go into this match having recorded 11 more points on the road than Chelsea have registered at Stamford Bridge. Who would have predicted that at the start of the season?!

The two teams emerge from the tunnel to a polite welcome from both sets of supporters. There's plenty of tension in the air but it's all emanating from the Spurs section behind the goal. This is a huge night for their football club.

Here we go! We are underway at Stamford Bridge.

Both teams have started sharply. The Blues have put together some crisp passes while Eriksen produced a mazy run that ended with a cross that was blocked by the first man.

CHANCE! Azpilicueta has began brightly on the left flank and earned Chelsea's first corner of the match. The ball was floated towards the penalty spot where Cahill was waiting but his firm header went a yard wide of the post.

What a ridiculous exchange between Mikel and Dembele. Mikel pushed the Spurs player in the back but it didn't warrant the retaliation from Dembele. The pair have been spoken to by referee Mark Clattenburg and hopefully that is the end of the matter.

It's been a good start to this game but a bitty one too. There are lots of minor fouls taking place all over the pitch as both teams try to gain a stranglehold of possession. Spurs have come back into this match over the past couple of minutes.

SHOT! A neat move from Spurs ends with with Rose receiving the ball on the edge of the penalty area. He has time to line up his shot and his thunderous 25-yard drive misses the far top corner by a matter of inches.

Rose goes from almost being a hero to conceding two free kicks in the space of 30 seconds, the first of which he was lucky to avoid a yellow card. The second set piece is taken 35 yards from goal but Fabregas's delivery is headed cleared by the Spurs defence.

How has Ivanovic avoided a yellow card there? He has slid in, studs first, on Rose and got nowhere near the ball but only a foul is given. It probably isn't as bad as it sounds but that was a clear caution.

Walker is a lucky boy here too. He conceded a free kick with a cheap foul on Pedro and then have a nibble at the Spaniard's ankles. For some reason, he seems surprised why Clattenburg summons him over for a chat but he avoids a yellow card. There could easily have been three bookings in this match. There has been none.

We are yet to see either frontline striker make an impact in this game. Costa has huffed and puffed without getting anywhere and Kane has been limited to a few layoffs in the final third. Both defences are doing an effective job so far.

CHANCE! Walker goes straight through Pedro and collects a booking but only after the referee has played a good advantage. A flowing Chelsea move ends with Fabregas receiving the ball on the edge of the penalty area but his first-time effort goes agonisingly wide of the far post.

CHANCE! Less than a minute passes by before Spurs respond down the other end. Son is provided with the ball around 25 yards from goal but after moving into a shooting position, he curls his effort just wide. Pochettino isn't impressed but it was a decent attempt from that range.

SHOT! Kane has been feeding off scraps in this first half-hour and it leads to him taking a shot on from a set piece won at least 35 yards from goal. It's a cracking shot that has plenty of dip and swerve on it but it is always clearing the crossbar.

SHOT! It's hotting up now. It's Costa turn to get on the ball on the edge of the Spurs penalty area and his driven left-footed strike is tipped over the crossbar by Lloris. It was probably going over anyway but the French stopper helped it on its way.

GOAL! Chelsea 0-1 Tottenham Hotspur (Kane)

Spurs take the lead at Stamford Bridge! Eriksen and Lamela exchange passes inside the final third before the Argentine winger slides the ball through to Kane, who takes the ball around Begovic and taps it into an empty net. He timed his run to perfection. Game on!

BOOKING! Vertonghen receives a yellow card for one of the most extreme shirt pulls ever on Costa and as you can imagine, the striker nearly started World War III with his reaction. He gets a ticking over from Clattenburg but no booking.

CHANCE! Spurs come so close to a second! The ball is cut back to Lamela who is waiting on the penalty spot but just as it looked as though his placed shot was finding the bottom corner, Cahill got in the way and Chelsea survive.

GOAL! Chelsea 0-2 Tottenham Hotspur (Son)

How big could this goal be?! Chelsea had been pushing for an equaliser but Spurs have doubled their advantage with another superb goal. Eriksen played the ball through to Son and after biding his time, he coolly slotted the ball past Begovic at his near post. It's a long way back for Chelsea from here.

HALF TIME: Chelsea 0-2 Tottenham Hotspur

The half-time whistle goes at Stamford Bridge and Spurs are well on their way to three points that will keep their title hopes alive. Things flared up just before the half-time whistle after a confrontation involving Rose and Willian - even Pochettino got involved! The biggest talking point was an incident between Dembele and Costa. Dembele appeared to rake the eyes of the striker and it seems inevitable that a retrospective ban is on its way for the Belgian. Madness.

Spurs get us back underway in the second half.

Eden Hazard has been introduced into the action by Chelsea with Pedro the man to make way. Bit harsh on the Spaniard. He had been causing Walker problems on the left flank.

Both teams have had a couple of early corners during the opening exchanges since the restart but nothing has come from them. Chelsea are trying to get Hazard involved straight away but he hasn't produced anything of note.

SHOT! The danger signs were there for Chelsea once again when Kane received the ball on the left side of the penalty area but despite the ball being on his favoured right foot, his shot was too close to Begovic.

BOOKING! Lamela is the fourth Spurs player to go into the referee's notebook after a crude challenge on Fabregas. He's apologetic and accepts his caution without protest.

CHANCE! Rather than looking to protect their two-goal lead, Spurs are pushing for a third. A rapid break-away that started with Kane spraying the ball out to Rose ends with Son attempting to slot the ball into the bottom corner from 20 yards but it just evades the inside of the post.

GOAL! Chelsea 1-2 Tottenham Hotspur (Cahill)

Now then! Willian's corner from the right finds Cahill, and after the centre-back is given time to bring the ball down, he lashes home a left-footed volley from 10 yards to give both his team and Leicester hope! Chelsea are much the better of the two sides now.

CHANCE! Hazard has had an impact on this game and he should have received the ball back from Costa after starting another move. Instead, the striker bided his time before playing in Willian at the back post but his first touch is heavy and his shot too weak to beat Lloris.

SUBSTITUTION! Pochettino makes his first change, bringing on Ryan Mason for Son, whose goal is the difference between the two sides. It's a sign that Spurs may look to try to add a bit more stability in the middle.

A wayward Kane shot doesn't appear to get a deflection but the referee opts to award a corner. Fortunately for Clattenburg and Chelsea, the two set pieces that come from it are dealt with.

Spurs were on the ropes after Cahill's goal but they are regained their composure. They are playing the game at their pace and it's up to Chelsea to try to find a response.

BOOKINGS! Eriksen becomes the latest Spurs player to enter the book for a cynical pull of the shirt but a minute later, he draws a foul out of Ivanovic who is also cautioned.

When Hazard looks this dangerous on the ball, who have to question where these performances have been all season? The Belgian is provided with the ball on the left flank and his low cross is deflected out of the reach of Willian at the back post. There was only a few inches in that.

CHANCE! Was that the chance that Spurs were waiting for to put this game to bed? Walker plays a ball into Mason who is waiting on the edge of the area but after advancing closer to goal, he sends his shot too close to Begovic.

SUBSTITUTION! Hiddink takes a more offensively-minded approach in the middle of the park with Oscar replacing Matic.

SUBSTITUTION! Rose has picked up a knock and has been replaced by Ben Davies. Spurs have nine minutes plus added-on time to hang on at Stamford Bridge. They look comfortable so far.

GOAL! Chelsea 2-2 Tottenham Hotspur (Hazard)

is this the goal that wins Leicester City the Premier League title?! What a goal it is too. The ball was played into Costa, who held off the attentions of a defender before setting up Hazard. The Belgian took the shot on early and found the top corner of Lloris's net from just inside the penalty area. Leicester fans - this is really happening.

Fabregas is going berserk here. He is claiming that a Spurs player has stamped on his hand but the referee or assistant haven't seen anything! The replays show that Lamela has walked on his hand though. Lucky boy!

BOOKING! Dier goes into the book for a very late challenge on Hazard and another brawl ensues! Terry receives a yellow in the aftermath. Chelsea looking the most likely to score a winner here.

There will be six minutes of added-on time. Anything can happen!

The Chelsea fans are encouraging their team to run down the clock. They are controlling proceedings here. It doesn't look like Spurs have got much left.

A minute to go. Spurs cannot get near the Chelsea goal. Spurs have lost the plot and are conceding late tackle after late tackle.

FULL TIME: Chelsea 2-2 Tottenham Hotspur
