Chelsea forward Salomon Kalou is in negotiations with the Blues over a new contract at Stamford Bridge.
The 26-year-old, who is out of contract at the end of the season, is believed to be keen on committing his future to the former Premier League champions.
Blues strikers Didier Drogba and Nicolas Anelka are also expected to resolve their futures as their current deals expire next summer.
"Kalou was offered a contract and hopefully we will continue talks," manager Andre Villas-Boas told the club's official website.
"In January these players are available to discuss their future. We'll continue talks until we reach an agreement or not.
"The fact that they are emotionally tied to this club - like Nico [Anelka] - too, means we can count on them while they are negotiating. Their loyalty to the club will never be in question."
Meanwhile, Chelsea go head to head with Everton in the Premier League this weekend.
