Roberto Di Matteo reveals that John Terry and Ashley Cole will be fit for Chelsea's match with QPR this weekend.

John Terry and Ashley Cole are both expected to be fit for Chelsea's match against Queens Park Rangers this weekend.

The pair missed England's midweek World Cup qualifying draw against Ukraine with injuries, but Roberto Di Matteo has revealed that they have recovered sufficiently and could feature at Loftus Road.

Reports have claimed that Hoops defender Anton Ferdinand will snub the Blues duo's pre-match handshakes for the roles they played in Terry's racism trial.

The Chelsea captain was accused of racially abusing Ferdinand last October, while Cole testified for his teammate in Court this summer.

Regardless of Ferdinand's apparent intentions, Chelsea have revealed that they will "respect" the traditional pre-kickoff ritual, should it go ahead.

"Roberto Di Matteo reports that John Terry and Ashley Cole have recovered from injury and should be available for QPR game," Chelsea tweeted.

"Chelsea will respect the pre-match handshake and Di Matteo hopes the game will be played in a good spirit."

Amid the controversy, the two clubs are in talks over whether or not to cancel the pre-match handshakes, as they did for their FA Cup meeting last February.
