League Two side Chesterfield have secured the services of Sunderland goalkeeper Ben Wilson for a further three matches.
The 20-year-old joined the club on loan last month, but had been expected to return to the Black Cats this week.
However, an injury to first-choice stopper Tommy Lee has kept the goalkeeper out of action for longer than expected.
As a result, Wilson will provide cover to Richard O'Donnell for the next three weeks.
Chesterfield currently occupy 15th spot in the League Two table.
