Preview: Derby County vs. Millwall

Sports Mole looks ahead to the match between Derby County and Millwall in the Championship this weekend.

Derby County will be looking for their third straight victory when they host Millwall in the Championship this weekend.

The Rams are unbeaten in their last seven games, and beat Bournemouth 2-0 in their last match earlier this week, moving them up to fourth in the table.

Johnny Russell could be in line for a rare start after replacing Jordan Ibe at half time last time out, while Jamie Ward could miss out after picking up a knock.

Otherwise, there are no new injury concerns for Steve McClaren, who could see his side climb to the top of the league if the teams above them lose this weekend.

Meanwhile, Millwall have been on a difficult run recently following their bright start to the season, losing four of their last five matches to leave them 16th in the table.

Ian Holloway's side lost their second match in a row earlier this week when they were beaten 3-1 by Birmingham City.

Mathias Ranegie will need a fitness test after picking up an injury while leaping for a header during their last match, but there are no other concerns for the manager.

When the teams met at the iPro Stadium last season, Millwall claimed a 1-0 win, having been thrashed 5-1 by Derby at The Den earlier in the campaign.
