Suspended Wayne Rooney insists that the England squad are "ready" to face France later today.

Wayne Rooney has insisted that the England squad are fully prepared to take on France this evening.

The Manchester United striker will have to sit out the encounter in Donetsk as he serves the first of his two-match suspension.

However, the 26-year-old believes that the Three Lions are "ready" to deal with the challenges that France pose without his presence.

"Can't wait for game. We're ready," the centre-forward posted on Twitter a short while ago.

A reported England starting lineup for the encounter has already been leaked and can be viewed here.
