Rio Ferdinand has given a satirical view on his omission from the England squad for Friday's Euro 2012 qualifier with Montenegro.
The Manchester United centre-back has suffered with injuries this season but has returned to fitness over the last couple of weeks.
However, manager Fabio Capello has opted to not select him for the trip, while also choosing to leave Liverpool's Steven Gerrard at home.
"Football training at school with the l'il man....might have to start joining in.....if selected!," the 32-year-old wrote on his Twitter account.
Ferdinand made an appearance as a substitute during United's 2-0 victory over Norwich City on Saturday afternoon.
