Sven Goran-Eriksson is the latest football personality to give their backing to the new England manager Roy Hodgson.
The Swede was in charge of the national side from 2001 to 2006 and having known Hodgson for over 30 years, believes that the West Bromwich Albion manager can do well for England.
"He is very organised, knows his football and has been successful in many countries," Eriksson told BBC Sport.
"He will do a very good job, I am sure. Back him up and help him."
Eriksson and Hodgson became friends in the late 1970s, when both men were managers in the Swedish league. They met again in the Italian league in the 1990s when they were in charge of Sampdoria and Inter Milan respectively.
