Roy Hodgson: 'It was a frustrating game'

England boss Roy Hodgson admits that he was frustrated that his side were held to a goalless draw against Honduras in their final game before the start of the World Cup.

England boss Roy Hodgson has admitted that he was frustrated with his side's inability to find a breakthrough in their 0-0 draw with Honduras.

The Three Lions failed to find the back of the net in their final match before the start of the World Cup despite having several good chances in a game that was delayed for 45 minutes due to a thunderstorm.

Hodgson told ITV Sport: "They were quite physical. It was a real stop-start game, one of the most frustrating I've been involved in for a long time. We had a long stoppage, I thought we dealt with it and in the second half it was attack vs. defence.

"They got their men behind the ball and we didn't take our chances. We attempted to make them but this is a game I will soon forget.

"I will take the draw and that we got away without injuries and that we have experience against Central American opposition."

England begin their World Cup campaign against Italy next Saturday.
