Liverpool midfielder Jordan Henderson is on standby after Frank Lampard suffers a thigh injury in England training.

Frank Lampard's Euro 2012 participation has been thrown into doubt after he suffered a thigh injury in training with the England squad.

Roy Hodgson's team have been preparing for their second warm-up friendly against Belgium this Saturday before jetting off to Poland and Ukraine for the European tournament next week.

It is believed that the Chelsea midfielder pulled up with the problem in training and is due to have a scan tomorrow in order to determine the extent of the injury.

Liverpool's Jordan Henderson is thought to have been put on standby and will join up with the national squad if Lampard is deemed unfit to compete in the competition.

This is the third injury blow for the Three Lions, who have already sent home third-choice goalkeeper John Ruddy and Manchester City midfielder Gareth Barry due to injuries.
