Russian club Anzhi Makhachkala are reportedly on the hunt to replace manager Gadzhi Gadzhiev with England boss Fabio Capello while keeping tabs on Premier League stars Steven Gerrard and Frank Lampard.
Gadzhiev was sacked from the Dagestan-based club on Thursday and interim boss Roberto Carlos has revealed that the Three Lions boss is a genuine contender.
"I am having dinner with the president and we'll speak about signings and coaches for next season," the Daily Mail quotes Carlos as saying.
"In terms of coaches, there are several names, such as Capello, Hiddink, [Wanderley] Luxemburgo and [Luis Felipe] Scolari."
The former Brazil defender went on to say that the Anzhi hierarchy are also contemplating snapping up players from the Premier League.
"We will talk about names like [Frank] Lampard, [Steven] Gerrard and [Robert] Pires," he added.
The Russian club have already added former Barcelona striker Samuel Eto'o to their squad, reportedly making the Cameroon international the world's highest-paid player.
