FA chairman Greg Dyke: 'England won't win World Cup in Brazil'

FA chairman Greg Dyke says that it is 'unrealistic' for England to win the World Cup in Brazil next year.

Chairman of the Football Association Greg Dyke has admitted that it is 'unrealistic' to expect England to win next year's World Cup in Brazil.

The 66-year-old delivered his first address as FA chairman yesterday, claiming that there are too many foreign owners, managers and players in the Premier League, which is preventing the development of the English national team.

Dyke also claimed that the Three Lions should set a target of winning the World Cup in 2022.

"It doesn't mean we can't do well in Brazil as long as we qualify," Dyke told BBC Sport. "I don't think anyone realistically thinks we are going to win the World Cup in Brazil."

Roy Hodgson's England team are yet to qualify for next year's tournament, but they could move one step closer if they defeat Moldova on Friday.
