Everton midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin reveals that the injury he suffered against Newcastle United was just a dead leg.

Everton midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin has revealed that the injury he appeared to suffer during the 1-0 victory over Newcastle United was not serious.

The Frenchman hobbled off during the match at Goodison Park, but took to social media afterwards to confirm that the problem was nothing more than a dead leg.

"Good to get the three points tonight. Disappointed to have to come off but I couldn't run off a bad dead leg from the first half. Nothing too serious so I should be back for Saturday," Schneiderlin wrote on Twitter.

Theo Walcott scored the only goal of the game in the second half to help Everton climb up to eighth in the league table.

Everton are away at Huddersfield Town next weekend.
