David Moyes admits that the Everton players need "picking up" after their Merseyside derby defeat.

David Moyes has admitted that his Everton players need "picking up" after their Merseyside derby loss last Saturday.

The Toffees, who lost 2-1 to Liverpool in the FA Cup semi-final, still hold a one-point lead over their local rivals in the Premier League and will look to increase that gap when the team travel to Manchester United this afternoon.

"I think they all need picking up," he said.

"The young boys, and the likes of Phil Neville and Tim Cahill too. They're hurting as much as anybody, because they're senior players.

"We're all in the same boat and we'll get up and we'll go again. We've got to get ourselves some more wins before the end of the season."

Everton lost 1-0 to the Red Devils in the reverse fixture earlier this season.
