Lyon midfielder Clement Grenier has been called up by France manager Didier Deschamps for the first time as a replacement for Samir Nasri ahead of friendlies against Uruguay and Brazil.
The 22-year-old joins up with Les Blues after a string of impressive performances for Lyon in recent weeks, which helped Remi Garde's side secure a return to the Champions League.
Nasri's omission from the squad for unconfirmed health reasons was confirmed in a statement by the French Football Federation earlier today.
The brief statement read: "Because of doubts on Samir Nasri's health after Manchester City's two games in the United States, Didier Deschamps has called up Clement Grenier."
Reported Arsenal target Grenier goes straight into the France squad for games against Uruguay and Brazil on June 5 and 9 respectively.
Deschamps has also included Bordeaux defender Benoit Tremoulinas as a late replacement for Gael Clichy, who withdrew with a groin problem earlier this week.
